About the Course

A Logistics Management System is a subset of supply
chain management (SCM) that deals with the
planning, execution and optimization of the physical
movements of goods. In simpler terms, it's a logistics
platform that enables users to manage and optimize
the daily operations of their transportation fleets and
may be part of an enterprise
resource planning system. The
management of transportation
operations of all types, including
tracking and managing every aspect of vehicle
maintenance, fuel costing, routing & mapping, cargo
handling, carrier selection and accounting constitutes
an Integrated Logistics System Management.

This certificate course is well structured for the

participants to understand the intricacies as to how to manage Logistics
efficiently and update themselves. Course content is made taking into
account of the present scenario. The take away of the course will be the
ability to face the challenges in administering the planning and controlling
activities of various transportation modes and other logistics requisites.

system, Competition law, Mergers &
Takeovers.
Rail operations, Diamond quadrilateral,
Dedicated freight corridor, Intermodal
coordination, Costing&Pricing of rail
transport services, Cargo&Container
handling.
Module.5- Inland Waterways
Operations
Development, Coastal shipping,
National regulations, Latest trends and
Technology support, Care of
Environment.
Module.6- Air Cargo Operations
Air cargo console, Freighting, Ground
floor handling, FIATA, IATA, Price
setting, Classification and labelling.
Module.7- Logistics Planning & Cost
Optimization
Factors to consider: Challenges,
Movement, Handling, Project
phasing&Safety- Reduction of costs-
Analysing &Optimising material flow and
process.

TEST & ATTENDANCE

F At the end of the course, a test of 2 hours duration will be conducted.
The maximum marks for this test will be 100 and pass % is 50.Those
who successfully complete will be awarded with the certificate and
others will get a course completion certificate
Participants should ensure minimum 75% attendance

SCHEDULE AND FEES

On 8 Sundays from 28th April 2019 onwards, Timing is from 10.00
am to 01.00 pm.
For IIMM members : Rs. 4,000/- per person + 18% GST
For Non -IIMM members : Rs. 4,500/- per person + 18% GST
(10% concession can be given to a minimum of 3 or more participants
from a single organization)
