Number Of Dengue Cases In Three Residential Areas and The Prevention Activities From

2012 to 2016
Figure 1 shows a graph on dengue cases in three residential areas from 2012 to 2016
while figure 2 illustrates a table of dengue prevention activities in 2012,2014 and 2016. In
general the two figures shows a correlation whereby it was quite constant from 2012 then
started to decrease in 2016.
As can be seen from the graph, for the period of 2012 to 2016, dengue cases in three
residential areas fluctuated between the lowest 5 cases in 2012 by Taman Lavender and the
highest of 35 cases in 2012 by Taman Lily. In 2012, the cases in those three residential areas
are mostly low except for Taman Lavender. As shown by the table 1, there are not much
prevention activities in 2012 such as dengue prevention campaign and clearing drains only
but still can decreased the number of cases in some residential mostly. However, in 2014, the
highest number of dengue cases are shown by Taman Mawar with 31 dengue cases.
Eventhough ,prevention activities are still same as 2012, the cases still showing an incline
with fogging activities as an additional way to depreciate the cases. In 20.16 there was a
sharp drop of only 1 cases by Taman Lily(1 case) followed by Taman Lavender(4 cases) and
Taman Mawar(6 cases). It is because of a lot prevention activities done in three residential
areas(home inspection by heatlh officers, fogging, clearing drains and installing mosquito nets)
In summary, dengue cases can be drop if we are doing a lot of prevention activities in
order to prevent it.
