RE: Online Breather

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to shift to distance learning and online
modality in delivering instruction. The shift has taken its toll on everyone, especially on us
and the students who share a considerable bulk of work in online classes.

Recognizing the need for a breather, and considering the scheduled

maintenance check of PLDT on September 25-30 which is expected to adversely affect
our online delivery of instruction, the following have been decided by the Academic
Council on its meeting today, September 24, 2020:

1. There will be no online synchronous classes from September 25-October 2, 2020.

2. Learning materials for self-study will continue to be posted according to their
timeline on the specific courses in Schoology. However, there will be no new
tasks/requirements for submission from September 28-October 9, 2020 for lecture
classes.
3. For laboratory classes, deadline of submissions scheduled between September
28-October 9, 2020 is moved to the succeeding week (due dates will be
determined by the specific teachers).
4. Teachers are expected to check the ungraded tasks of students in Schoology
during the online breather.

We are sincerely hoping that this much-needed break from online classes helps
all our students and teachers to be re-energized and re-invigorated to continue giving
their best amidst all the challenges that we are facing right now.
