Subject: Summer Semester 2020
The Competent Authority in order to save the time of students of final/outgoing semesters is pleased to
approve the following SOPs and Schedule for Summer Semester 2020 for the students of final/outgoing
semesters:
 The students can enroll maximum 4-5 courses (repeat/improvement) of maximum 15 credit
hours
 Classes shall be conducted online through ZOOM. Classes will be conducted after 03:00
PM to avoid time table clash with the classes of Fall Semester 2020.
 Contact hours per week during the Summer Semester will be doubled to ensure that course
is completely taught. For the said purpose Saturdays and Sundays may be included in time
table.
 All semester regulations shall apply.
 The minimum class size will be 10 students. However, if students are less than 10 then
coaching classes shall be offered for such courses.
 Students will be required to submit Term paper in lieu of Mid Term Examination. For final
term examination the mark distribution of Spring 2020 will be followed i.e. for theory
portion Viva Voce 25 marks and online MCQs exam 25 marks.
 For Lab and Practical work assessment the students may be allowed to attend university in
groups following all SOPs of COVID-19.
 Fee shall be charged @ Rs. 5000/- per subject of all departments/disciplines of the
university, however, for MPhil programs it will be charged @ Rs. 6000/- per subject.

 During summer semester for the students who intend to repeat/improve
compulsory/university requirement courses combined class will be offered in the
parent/relevant department and the students from all other departments who intend to
repeat/improve such courses shall join that class in the relevant department.

Mid-term Examination November 02 to 06, 2020, (Monday to Friday)
Final-term Examination November 30 to December 04, 2020 (Monday to Friday)
Declaration of Result December 09, 2021 (Wednesday)
2. In addition to the students of final/outgoing semesters, students who had availed the semester
freeze due to connectivity issues, are also allowed to join the summer semester to enroll the courses
of freeze semester only enabling them to join the next semester without any wastage of time.
However, such students will be allowed to come to university but they will have to attend the
classes online as per policy for summer semester. These students will be provided internet facilities
by the University on campus enabling them to attend the online classes without any connectivity
issues. Further, these students will be allowed to attend the classes of Fall semester 2020
provisionally subject to the condition that they get promoted after the final term examination of

summer semester. If they fail in summer semester they will not be allowed to appear in the
midterm of Fall semester 2020. The students who availed semester freeze (Spring 2020) due to
connectivity issues in online classes shall not have to pay the fee for summer semester 2020.
