Sub: Fall Semester 2020 – 2021 – Course Registration
Considering the current pandemic situation and the safety norms that need to be adhered, following are the
norms and processes applicable for Fall Semester 2020 – 2021. Even though the process is different for the Fall
Semester 2020 – 2021, appropriate steps will be taken to offer the required number of courses.
Course wish list
Link for wish list registration will be available from 10th June (Wednesday) to 17th June 2020 (Wednesday).
Before wish list registration, the School will share the list of probable courses that will be offered during
Fall Semester 2020 - 2021. The mode of course offering (regular / online) will also be indicated.
During wish list registration, it is mandatory for the student to wish for all the courses (within the basket of
courses indicated by your School) which he / she will like to register for the Fall Semester 2020 – 2021.
Courses not wished by the student and courses which are not indicated by the respective School will not be
considered for registration.
Registration
Courses will be scheduled based on the wish list and also depend on the number of students wishing for the
course.
Class strength less than 25 will not be entertained.
Registration will be done by the School and therefore students will not be given the option to register for
the courses.
The change in the registration process is also to ensure uniformity in the registration for the required courses.
Maximum of five courses in ‘regular’ mode (approx. 15 – 18 credits) and two courses in ‘online’ mode
(approx. 6 – 8 credits) will be registered for every student.
Course registration will be done during the last week of June 2020.
In general, only first time registration (regular category) for the course will be considered.
All re-registrations will be entertained only in Fall Weekend Intrasemester 2020 – 2021.
There will be no ADD/DROP option during Fall Semester 2020 – 2021.
Registration under Minor / Honours / Additional / Audit and other similar categories is not permitted.
Date of Commencement and Assessments
As informed earlier, all classes will commence in online mode from 13th July 2020 (Monday). This is
irrespective of whether the course has been registered under ‘regular’ or ‘online’ category.
Courses marked as online will continue to be offered online even after the normalcy returns.
Detailed Academic Calendar and information on assessment modes will be shared shortly.
For further clarifications on course registration, students are required to contact their respective Schools.
