Dear Students,

As you are already aware that the classes of Academic Session 2022-23 are going to start from
16th August 2022. Department is suggesting you to please follow the following academic
guidelines to avoid future inconvenience. Students are also suggested to take the placement
activities very seriously to achieve the 100% placement target of department.

Academic Guidelines:
1. The criteria of attendance for all years to appear in CIAs will be 75% as per AKTU
norms.
2. If any student will not fulfil the given criteria of attendance then they may be detained
from Internal / University Examination.
3. Parents of students will be informed regularly through calls/whatsapp/email/letters about
the attendance and performance of students.
4. The department will be conducted special classes for detained students during CIAs. The
attendance will be maintained separately.
5. Despite of all the efforts, if the student falls short of attendance without any valid reason
he/she will be detained from appearing in end semester exams.
6. There are changes in CIAs. From Academic Session 2022-23, there will be only two (02)
CIAs and both are mandatory to attend.
7. Department will display the detention list before CIAs and University Examination and
the overall sessional marks obtained based on actual marks, attendance and assignments.
8. Students may communicate any academic or personal issues to Mentor/Class
Coordinator and for placement related queries, department placement coordinators may
be contacted.
9. Department has introduced the Year Coordinator concept. Student may also
communicate the academic and placement related issues with year coordinators too.
10. Placement attendance can only be considered with proper forwarding through placement
coordinator and year coordinator.
