1. Give an example from your own life in which you have learned through modeling.

We don't learn a behavior by simply observing the model. First you need to follow the steps in the
process of modelling in order to achieve our goals in life, to become successful. As a daughter I've
been motivated to go to school because of my parents. My role model in school except for my
parents is my teacher, due to his behavior it motivate me to work hard. I confess that I've been
copying his strategy, the way he teaches us. I've influence to his behavior that I need, not only for
passing the exams but also to graduate in this field. He was a role model of every student in our
school. In short retention is the key of success.

2. What relatively inexpensive steps might a company take to promote informal learning among
employees?

In order to stay on top of emerging industry trends. The organization must attract talented
employees and produce innovative results. And these are the inexpensive steps might a company
take to promote learning among employees. First is to make it ACCEPTABLE, encourage the
employee to discover something new, to enhance his or her capability in his or her free time.
Second is give it time. Invest in the employee growth and development. Third is blog about it,
encourage them to post about it (what they have learned) about industry-related topics.

Fourth is present it. Let them promote and share the knowledge within the office through
presenting it. Some people are good about blogging others prefer to present it. And lastly,
democratize it. The best way to learn a thing is to teach it.

3. If you try to assess yourself, which learning orientation do you think you have? Explain why you
think you have it as your learning orientation.

I think I have a mastery orientation because I am eager to improve my skills, to learn more about a
certain thing. For an instance, I am a shy person when I entered in college I don't know the basic of
accounting due to lack of facilities and knowledge in high school. Through to dedication, I work hard,
study and focus. And as for this moment I know I improve a lot.

4. Explain how employee learning is connected to improving organizational performance.

The key element in ensuring the success of an organization is to retain the talent of the employee.
We all know that workers or employee of the organization is their valuable asset. Through employee
learning they can achieve higher productivity and more engaged to workforce.
1. How can a person capitalize on the effect in managing his or her career?

A person capitalize on the effect in managing his or her career by allowing their strengths to shine.
For an instance the important aspects the you wrote in your resume in applying a job. In order to be
hired you give the impression they looking for.

2. Cite an actual scenario in your life where you have executed the 5 mental processes presented
in lesson 2 in order to make a situation less painful or disturbing for you.

a. Denial- We deny all the time in order not to get hurt. During this quarantine my friend and I are often
to see each other. And there was a certain day that I've get hurt when I saw their post gathering and
having fun without me. At first I was denial because I thought they only need me when there was an
activity, denying the fact makes me hurt more

b. Stereotyping- LGBTQ, I have a gay uncle and when I was a kid I've seen his bad behavior, he even bet
up us for (not knowing reasons) in that time I was blaming that all gay is like that. And I don't want to
have a gay friend because I don't have trust in them. I've hurting my gay classmate when I was in
elementary. I don't even like to interact to him, I even bad mouthing him.

c. Halo effect- Helping other people is the greatest achievement we have in our life. Strengthen their
favorable strength can shine a person's life. They can understand and know their selves more. They can
enhance their skills and ability that can achieve their goals in their lives. Encouraging them to push their
limits in a good way is the greatest asset they can have in their life.

d. Projection- Actually I've experienced to be bullied when I was in grade school and high school. First, I
don't even know why they always hitting on us and we realized and knew that they are miserable in
their homes. Projecting our own faults to others can lead into a miserable life, instead of understanding
them for their situation, we are pushing to their limits. That's why, some child are into bullying because
they are hurt.

e. Selective Perception- People draw conclusion when they don't even know the whole story. There's a
time when my family has a misunderstanding and people conclude that it's all about money. They even
spread the rumors and that time the argument between my families is getting worse due to misheard
news in our neighbors.

3. Cite an example where a manager can use blaming as an attribution, to his own advantage.

A sale manager, for an instance that this month sales is low than the previous month.
Throughout the data given, the sales manager will blame the production area or his subordinate. Instead
of making an objective about the situation he uses his power to underestimate his people. He is taking
advantage of the situation.
BABY BOOMERS 1. This era are well-disciplined. They are
follow the rules and regulation in the
household. And mentally focused in their
goals.

generation are independent and self-

time is lack of technology but they find a

GENERATION X 1. They are independent and work life
balance. That they inherent from the
baby boomers.
2. They are informality, flexible and highly
educated. They are strict especially for
the rules and regulations they implement
in our house.
3. They also adept the technology, they
even active in different social medias.
They get easily believe in chismis.
MILLENIALS 1. This generation are very open minded
and adaptive to change.
2. They have the passion to learn new
things, to explore.
3. And they are intuitive knowledge of
technology.
1. What does this case have to do with attribution theory?

Attribution theory is concerned in explaining the causes of behavior and events. In this case Abigail
explain to the CEO why the revenue is declining. And the causes of this by automation and algorithms.
The customer are preferred to visit like Zillow website that has low cost due to appraisal fee free. When
Gwenn asked that many customers are want appraisal not simply plucked of the internet and Abigail
answered due to low cost that's why the revenue is declining estimate $25.

2. To what extent do you think Gwenn is justified in her criticism that Abigail is blaming outside

forces for her problem?

I think Gwenn is justified in blaming Abigail is that Abigail is working in the field. And she knows the
actual transactions. She blame her subordinate in order not to get hurt by her ego. Instead of putting an
objective in this situation she put the blame to a certain person. She uses her power or rank to criticize
someone or draw conclusion without even know the causes of the sudden decline in revenue.

3. What advice can you offer Abigail to deal with the problem she is facing with Gwenn?

Through this act we it may affect the relationship between Abigail and Gwenn. There is a possibility that
Abigail may resign, Abigail may conduct an assessment to see how work stresses might be throwing fuel
on the fire.
