the edges and board to make it 
smooth and look aesthetically 
pleasing. Sanding is also used to

process of using lasers to 
mark a piece of wood, 
usually with a logo or a

Treating ​the wood 
Treating the wood is usually the final 
step of the construction process of 
the board. The type of treat used will 
differ depending on what the job will 
be used for, in the case of serving 
boards they must be food safe so 
vegetable oil will be used.
