4. How to describe a place. Look at the example:

This place is my dining room. We can see


a yellow round table and there are four
sky-blue chairs around it.
There’s a flowerpot on the table, as
well as four forks and a knife. There’s
also a little black cat under the table.
At the back, we can see a painting on
the wall. Finally, there is a window
with double casement and two purple
curtains hanging on it.

Now, take a picture of a place in your house (living room, dining room, bedroom, etc.)
and describe all the things there. Use the structures “there is” and “there are”.
You can also use prepositions of place: on, in, under, next to, behind, in front of, etc.
to make your text more varied. Finally, record an audio file reading out your text.
