Genesis 24

Focus Verse

Then he prayed, ‘LORD, God of my master Abraham, make me successful today, and show kindness to my master
Abraham.’ ” – Genesis 24:12
FIRST DAY: Read the notes and the references.
1. Use this space to record how you have seen God’s activity during the week. (How has He provided, answered,
comforted, reconciled, guided, etc.?)

SECOND DAY: Read Genesis 24:1-14.

THIRD DAY: Read Genesis 24:15-27.


Abraham’s servant confirmed Rebekah was God’s choice for Isaac’s bride.
6. After prayer, what practical confirmations did the servant experience?

FOURTH DAY: Read Genesis 24:28-51.

9. How does Rebekah’s family show they believed in God and sought His will regarding the servant?

10. What details in the servant’s recounting of his story confirmed God’s will?

11. How did the servant joyfully give God the glory and refuse to take credit for his success? (Use any verses in
Genesis 24.)

12. What do you learn about how God provides direction for those who faithfully seek His will? (See Isaiah
48:11; 1 Corinthians 1:27-31; or any other Scripture.)

FIFTH DAY: Read Genesis 24:52-67.


Abraham’s servant and Rebekah quickly departed for Isaac and the marriage.
13. What actions of the servant and Rebekah show growing faith and immediate obedience?

14. What has it cost you to obey God? How has God cared for you when your obedience seemed costly?

15. How does Isaac’s example challenge or encourage you to prayerfully wait on God’s way and time (24:62-67)?

SIXTH DAY: Review Genesis 24.

are most meaningful to your current situation?
