Work Packages and Tasks

Work Package 1: Analysis

Objective: To understand the complete end-to-end requirement and create a proper product
structure which would meet the needs of the customer

Task 1.1 – Requirement Meetings: Conduct and Schedule meetings with the stakeholders to gather
information related to their requirements. It will be a continuous 4 days process which will ensure all
the relevant information is gathered which can be passed on to the design team

Task 1.2 – Communication with Stakeholders: Establish a process of two-way communication with all
the stakeholders to ensure all the parties are on same page. Before designing of the software all the
communications channels need to be established so that in case of any issues quick and efficient
steps can be taken

Task 1.3 – Document Current System: Documenting of all the process and agreed upon deliverables
which would be followed during the course of the project

Work Package 2: Design

Objective: To design the software according to the agreed upon document with all the databases
and functions required by the customer

Task 2.1 – Design Database: Designing the databases to determine what data must be stored and
how those data elements interrelate creating a database model. How different functions for student
and faculty and administration fit into the software will be determined.

Task 2.2 – Software Design: Designing the software with different functions provided to the students
and faculty creating a specialized software artifact with an intention to accomplish determined goals
using a set of primitive components and subject to constraints.

Task 2.3 – Interface Design: Designing the software interface matching with the school/college
requirement and with different machines such as computers, mobile phones, tablets with the focus
on maximizing usability and user experience.

Task 2.4 – Create Design specifications: This is the final step in the design phase as these align
everyone and will be used by designers to implement the design.

Work Package 3: Development

Objective: To develop the software package with all the required functions

Task 3.1 – Develop System Module: The process of designing the elements of a system such as the
architecture, modules and components, the different interfaces of those components and the data
that goes through that system.

Task 3.2 – Integrate System Module: The process of bringing together the component sub-system
into one system and ensuring that the subsystem function together as per the initial requirement

Task 3.3 – Perform Initial Testing: Test run the software to ensure the product is error free and
meets the expectation which were set
Work Package 4: Testing

Objective: To conduct rigorous testing of the developed product in order to ensure maximum results
match the initial expectations which were set and discussed

Task 4.1 – Perform System Testing: To evaluate the complete system and confirm the system’s
compliance with the specified requirements and the testing would be done from an end-to-end
perspective.

Task 4.2 – Document Issues Found: Documenting any issues that were found during the testing
process

Task 4.3 – Correct Issues Found: All the issues needs to be corrected in order to provide best
performance

Work Package 5: Implementation

Objective: To implement the software product on the customer premises

Task 5.1 – On-Site Installation: Installing of the software on the customer architecture to start the
use of the product

Task 5.2 – Support Plan for the System: Creating a plan of support in case of any system failure or
help required by the user

Work Package 6: Completion

Task 6.1 – System Maintenance: Maintenance and providing support to the users as and when
required

Task 6.2 – Evaluation: Evaluating the performance of the software and taking feedback from its users
to further improve the performance
