HR Manager: Good afternoon, everyone. First of all, I appreciate all of you for attending the
meeting without absence.
Participants: You are welcome.
HR manager /Me/: Today we are going to discuss the workforce planning report and the
workforce plan which I developed. And I hope that this meeting will be effective as much as we
want. Before the discussion, let me do a summary for the workforce plan. Workforce planning
refers to the process of ensuring an organisation has current and future access to the human
capital it needs to perform effectively.
Finance Manager: Yes, we do understand the purpose of this plan. Could you explain to us how
the workforce plan will support the achievement of organisational strategic and operational
goals, please?
Me: Yes, sure. By planning workforce, Business units and the total organization will reap the
benefits of the workforce planning program. Finance and real estate will have the information
needed to construct their budgets. Human Resources will be able to make better high-level
decisions about recruitment, development, redeployment, and transition programs. And, senior
leadership will be able to monitor the people health of the organization and the organizational
capacity to meet present and future business objectives.
Operation Manager: Okay. It is great to know that. In this plan, I saw scope, objectives,
timelines, risks, budget etc... But I am not sure about Risk assessment and contingency planning.
Could you give us more detail, please?
Me: Sure, I would love to. In risk assessment, I outlined two risks for each workforce objective
and developed risk treatment strategy for each risk. But we do not have an extreme risk, so a
contingency plan is not completed yet. I will work on it more and also I would be thankful if the
Managing Director helps me with it.
Managing Director /Assessor/: I will. Does anyone have a question?
Operation Manager, Finance Manager: No, we do not.
Finance Manager: I would like to say some comment on this plan. Thank you for developing this
plan and it has been prepared amazingly. As you said, let's work on a contingency plan and set
the meeting again.
Me: Thank you. When do we need to set up the meeting again, managing director?
Managing Director: Next Monday would be great. Thank you.
Me: The meeting is completed. Thank you again.
