We are sending this letter to notify you of the working plan in May 2020 by asking your
understanding as well as cooperation.
Based on our monthly plan, we are targeting Waste removal volume of 3,120KBCM to
produce 780Kton of coal with Strip Ratio 4, which is assessed based on 25days working
day out of 31calendar days.
To maintain the Waste removal volume, we will not control the daily Waste removal
volume achievement, but control the working days to be 25days, taking the Ramadan
Holiday in May, into consideration.
We are aware that this is very unusual. However we have no choice but to control Strip
Ratio, since the recent abnormal circumstances we are going through with, which are
Limitation of sales resulted from Lockdown in India market, Unfavorable coal market
situation where ICI 4 index is below USD25/ton, which can result in negative margin in
SM sales and Current SM stock level, hard to maintain without dilution of coal quality.
Therefore, we hereby request you of maintaining 6days off in May. The dates of day-off
can be upon your discretion by discussing with our Production department.
It will be highly appreciated if you understand our situation. Meanwhile, we will also try
our best to provide you with the waste removal volume based on agreed mine plan for
2020 by reducing the costs and optimizing our sales.
