Starting with this school year, New Cross College

will implement two new European inter-school


partnership projects KA229, within the Erasmus +
Program, entitled “Digistories of generation Z” and
“Our Earth, our home”.
The first partnership will take place between schools
in 6 European countries: Romania, the coordinating
country, Ireland, Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy
and aims to improve students' digital skills by
creating videos and presentations on various topics of
current interest using programs such as Word,
Publisher, Powerpoint, Vimeo, Zeemaps etc. The
project activities will focus on several sub-themes
such as: social inclusion, literature, innovative
practices in a digital age and will support
intercultural dialogue, continuing the efforts to
introduce students to what national and European
culture means.
The second project aims to bring to the attention of
240 students the importance of caring for our planet
and to develop a sense of belonging to a common
European space. Students from Ireland-coordinating
country, Italy, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic and
Romania will work together to promote European
cultural heritage, inclusion of disadvantaged people,
development of social skills by working in
multicultural teams, using care for our Earth as a link,
promoting English and development the European
dimension of schools. The projects are addressed to
students aged between 14 and 18, knowledgeable in
English and who want to discover and develop skills
capable of harmoniously forming their personality,
way of expression and group relationships.
