If you were in charge of a chemistry related technology how would

you change it to have a more positive effect on the world?

After viewing the video answer the following questions in a shared
google doc with your shoulder partner.
1. What impact would using MOF crystals have on the environment?
2. Brainstorm ideas on what areas of our world could be improved
upon. Try thinking of aspects that chemistry related technologies
could help in, like medical devices, aerospace, computing, cars, fuels,
etc. Select one idea from the brainstorm and record it in the google
doc.

Explore
Make a copy of the google doc: Videos and answer sheet Based on the
area of study you and your partner chose, watch the corresponding
video and answer the questions provided (found in the link above).

Explain
Post your copy of “Explore” google doc to the discussion board in the
module (be sure to change the shareable link so that anyone with the
link can view it). Comment with feedback in the discussion board on
two groups’ google docs. Review the feedback left on your own post.

Apply/Elaborate
Based on the videos, your answers to the questions, and the feedback
given by classmates, what chemistry based technology would you
create or improve upon to better benefit the world? Add your answer to
the bottom of the “Explore” google doc.

Reflect/Evaluate
Write a personal reflection about how the videos aligned with your
chemistry related technology idea and how your peers’ feedback
changed or reaffirmed your idea. Turn in the reflection to the
assignment in the module.
