ABOUT ME
I was born in 1994, the same year the World Wide Web was created. I spent my younger years
on the water so I spent a lot of time in the good ol’ outdoors but I spent even more time on the
computer. Myspace, MSN, hotmail, AIM, BBM, and tumblr were my favorite things. By the
time I was 13 years old I had the potential of becoming a full-blown hacker when I discovered
how to code my own (and my friends) tumblr websites (this full-blown hacker potential could
also have come from the fact that I’m a full-blown Scorpio, but whatever.) A few years later I
created my first official website called TorontoBlonde.com, I was teased endlessly by my peers
for creating a blog and for doing something not a lot of other people were, except for, you know,
Chiara Ferragni, Aimee Song, Leandra Medine, Shea Marie, Rumi Neely, and Julie Sariñana
(just a few of my blogging icons at the time who have since become household names.)
Nevertheless, I persisted. My sister and I even created a clothing brand called ‘ALTI’ during this
time. I wrote on TorontoBlonde for a year or two before I got sick of talking about myself 24/7. I
then created my own online mag called HauteMess Magazine where I managed over 20 female
contributors from all over the world. We talked about everything from fashion, beauty, and
relationships, to fitness and books!
As I continued writing, I was approached to write for other blogs and magazines, that’s where I
discovered I could actually make money doing something I loved to do (well, I didn’t always
love it- one time I had a writing gig where I talked about pets, their clothing, the richest pets in
the world, and even the best dog bowls... yup! For real!) I ended up shutting down HauteMess
Magazine to pursue this (the writing, not specific to pet fashion LOL!) My freelance writing took
me all the way through to my second year of college, I was in school for marketing and I
absolutely hated it. When I started my own career writing and began building my own resumé,
the paid work I had became overwhelming and I was no longer able to balance going to school
and working on what I loved to do. At the same time, my sister Lexi’s modelling career really
started to take off and we were presented with the opportunity to move to Paris for a couple of
months for her work. I had two choices, I could stay back and finish school and do the ‘right’
thing or I could take the risk and go to Paris with my sister. Unlike Lauren Conrad on ‘The
Hills’, I WENT TO PARIS (if you got that reference, I love you so much!) I took a semester (or
so I thought) off of school and I did it! It was the worst time ever, neither of us spoke French and
it was our first time traveling without our parents so we were terrified of everything but I swear
the Eiffel Tower glittering at night can get you through anything and we made it. I wouldn’t
change that experience for the world (although, that was 2 months of lost sleep that I’m sure our
parents would like to get back.) After Paris, we moved to Miami for another couple of months
and that was the best experience. My sister then moved to New York solo and my family would
visit as often as possible (it quickly became my favorite 10 hour drive ever!) After New York
came LA, where Lexi now lives full-time and I stay for half of the year. To make a long story
short, after I’ve just written about every detail of my life for the past 25 years- I still haven’t
returned to school after taking that “semester off”, I’m still doing what I love to do, and I’m back
writing a f$#king blog where I talk about myself 24/7.

I hope you LOVE it!

a million xo’s!
