Since the start of the pandemic, many people tried to adjust to the new normal.

Facemasks, face shield,

and constant disinfection, are some of those adjustments in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Wearing of personal protective equipment such as the said adjustments earlier namely, face shield and
masks, are slowly becoming as a habit of my family. Constant refilling of our hand sanitizer whenever
our sanitizers depletes or even the sanitizers are about half empty, my father would gather the sanitizer
then quickly refill it. Sanitizing is not only limited to hand sanitizers such as alcohol or alcogel, my family
always promote the basic of all sanitizing methods, hand washing. Handwashing is one of the frontline
preventions for the spread of coronavirus. We always upheld the importance of handwashing even
before the pandemic and so our family always wash our hands whenever necessary. Another habit of
ours is social distancing, my family follows the social distancing rule pretty much the whole time.
Whenever we eat, do chores and pray the holy rosary, we always impose social distancing. Another
habit is to take a shower after doing errands outside of the house or going outside in general, since we
always ensure that our body is sanitized and what is the better way to sanitize our body is by taking a
shower. It is a rule of my family to always take a shower, no matter what you did, after going outside to
ensure that our home will be kept sanitized. For the things that I do to help maintain my mental health
are doing exercise, doing some of my academic backlogs, giving myself some “me” time and staying
connected. Doing exercise have greatly impacted my way of dealing daily life during the pandemic, I
became more active during the day, exercise helps me improve my mood, it also promotes better sleep
and the my main purpose which is stay healthy and fit despite being stuck at home. Taking care of
academic backlogs improves my mood knowing that I accomplished and removed some burdens, helps
me keep on tack on what I need to do especially that I am currently enrolled this year, it is important to
be flexible and efficient in this dire times of ours. Giving myself “me” time. From the phrase itself,
spending time for myself since it a really great thing to just reward yourself with some time to spend on
what you like to do or enjoy doing. And lastly, stay connected. Staying connected with my family since
we are under lockdown we must stay connected with our loved ones in order to show support and
strengthen family ties knowing that we are fighting against the virus it is important to reassure that we
have each other and that being with them eases the constant fear of being infected by the virus. Staying
connected not only is limited to family but also implies to my friends, since we are stuck at home and I
can’t hang out with them, I could at least talk to them through social media and via text messages
