Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Kobe Bryant sat on the bench when his team met the Utah

KOMPAS.com - Legendary NBA basketball player, Kobe Bryant,

reportedly died in an accident while riding a helicopter in California, United
States, on Sunday (1/26/2020).

Kobe Bryant died in the accident at the age of 41 years.

Bryant is said to be traveling with several people in his personal helicopter,

passing through the Calabasas area.

The helicopter crash sparked a fire in Calabasas.

The accident occurred at around 10 am local time amid foggy conditions.
According to the TMZ report, no one has survived the helicopter crash.

According to reports from the authorities investigating the accident, at least

5 people were killed.

Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, reportedly was not included in the passenger
on the helicopter.

Kobe Bryant himself is known as the legendary NBA basketball player who
has carved a variety of achievements, both club and personal.

He is known to be successful as a Los Angeles Lakers player, and

successfully won five NBA titles.
Kobe Bryant then decided to retire from the basketball world in 2016. The
death of Kobe Bryant is very surprising, even more so after his record as the
third highest scorer in NBA history has just been passed by LeBron James.
Kobe Bryant is not only regarded as an inspiring figure in the NBA, but also
the world of sports as a whole. Various achievements that make Kobe
Bryant considered one of the best players in the NBA. His name is parallel
to legends like Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson.

retired the jersey numbers 8 and 24 worn during play.
That makes Kobe Bryant the first player with two jersey numbers retired by
a team in the NBA.

Not only for the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant also recorded
achievements with the US Basketball Team.

 He won two gold medals, namely the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012
London Olympics.

meninggal dunia akibat kecelakaan saat menumpangi helikopter di
California, Amerika Serikat, pada Minggu (26/1/2020).

Kobe Bryant meninggal dunia dalam kecelakaan tersebut pada usia 41 tahun.

Bryant disebut sedang bepergian bersama beberapa orang dengan helikopter

pribadinya, melewati kawasan Calabasas.

Kecelakaan terjadi sekitar pukul 10 pagi waktu setempat di tengah kondisi

berkabut.
Berdasarkan laporan TMZ, tidak ada satu pun orang yang selamat dari
kecelakaan helikopter tersebut.

Menurut laporan pihak berwenang yang menyelidiki kecelakaan, setidaknya

ada 5 orang tewas.

Istri Kobe Bryant, Vanessa, dikabarkan tidak termasuk dalam penumpang di

helikopter tersebut.

Kobe Bryant sendiri dikenal sebagai pebasket legendaris NBA yang telah
menorehkan berbagai prestasi, baik klub maupun pribadi.

Ia dikenal sukses sebagai pemain Los Angeles Lakers, dan sukses meraih
lima gelar juara NBA.

Kobe Bryant kemudian memutuskan pensiun dari dunia bola basket pada
tahun 2016. Meninggalnya Kobe Bryant ini sangat mengejutkan, terlebih
lagi setelah rekornya sebagai pencetak poin terbanyak ketiga dalam sejarah
NBA baru saja dilewati oleh LeBron James.

Kobe Bryant tak hanya dianggap sebagai sosok inspiratif NBA, tetapi juga
dunia olahraga secara keseluruhan. Berbagai torehan prestasi itu menjadikan
Kobe Bryant dianggap sebagai salah satu pemain terbaik di NBA. Namanya
sejajar dengan legenda seperti Michael Jordan atau Magic Johnson.

Dia menutup kariernya di NBA pada 2016, setelah bermain selama 20

musim.

Untuk menghormati prestasi yang diraih Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
memensiunkan nomor punggung 8 dan 24 yang dikenakannya selama
bermain.

Hal itu menjadikan Kobe Bryant pemain pertama yang dua nomor
punggungnya dipensiunkan oleh satu tim di NBA.

Tidak hanya untuk Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant juga mencatatkan
prestasi bersama Tim Basket AS.
Dia meraih dua medali emas, yaitu pada Olimpiade Beijing 2008 dan
Olimpiade London 2012.
