 What are some of the common features/ characteristics of these countries you think would have
caused corruption?

These countries are mostly plagued by untrustworthy and badly functioning public institutions
like the judiciary which results to unsatisfactory life and low income levels. Another cause is that most
countries which is being affected by corruption are closed economies, meaning no imports or exports
from international trade. It is completely self-sufficient. Basically, the most common causes of
corruption are the political, economic environment, professional ethics and morality and, of course,
habits, customs, tradition and demography. Corruption inhibits economic growth and affects business
operations, employment and investments. It also reduces tax revenue and the effectiveness of
various financial assistance programs.

 If you are the leader of these countries, suggest measures on how to curb this problem.
