Tell me about yourself / Walk me through your resume?

I am Dinesh from Hosur, TamilNadu. I am currently pursuing master’s in business management in
Indian Institute of Management, Raipur. I am the Executive member of Alumni Committee where I
was responsible for entire alumni Database update and conducting Batch Preparedness program. I
did my Engineering in Electronics & Communication and I have work experience of 30months in
Accenture as an Application Development Analyst. Expertized in entire software development
lifecycle in salesforce technology. My key role was to provide application support and quality
maintenance. I have been handling a 3member team in understanding the business requirements
from the scrum master and ensuring the project status is constantly updated to my team and to the
management. I was also awarded for my diligent performance in my project and also I topped the
batch during the training given by Accenture. And now I wanted to elevate myself on the corporate
ladder. Since my interest is inclined towards to numbers and operations, I am looking for managerial
position in Finance or Operations Domain. Hence, I did few certifications from Flip, NISM and
completed my Lean Six Sigma Training.

2.Tell me about yourself which is not there in your resume?


Personally, I am adaptable in nature and Quick learner. Initially I was trained in Informatica, but I was
put in Salesforce Technology due to the project constraint. Still I was able to perform to the very
much expected level and was rewarded with “Test Centre of Excellence Award”.

Professionally, I did Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training which is very much important in today’s
optimizing world.

3.Why did you chose to do MBA?


My current designation was Application Development Analyst and with my capabilities in my mind, I
wanted to elevate myself on the corporate ladder. Since my interest is inclined towards to numbers
and operations, I am looking for managerial position in Finance or Operations Domain. Hence, I did
few certifications from Flip, NISM and completed my Lean Six Sigma Training.

Q4. Tell us about your work experience at XYZ organisation? (For


Work Ex students only)
I have work experience of 30months in Accenture as an Application Development Analyst.
Expertized in entire software development lifecycle in salesforce technology. My key role was to
provide application support and quality maintenance. I worked in two projects and one of them
had entire control with us. We need to Develop, Test, Support for the application and other I have
been handling a 4-member team in in understanding the business requirements from the scrum
master and ensuring the project status is constantly updated to my team and to the management.
In either case, we need to establish a clear and simple Quality process for Manual testing and
define deliverables for quality stages test cases, test plans and high-level design documentation,
UAT guidelines.

5.Tell us about your under-graduation experience?


I did my Engineering in Electronics & Communication in Svce, Chennai. Though I was far away from
home, I adapted to the new environment quickly. Initially I felt friction during the 3 rd sem when we
had all the electronics subject, hence I got lesser GPA. But I was able to cope up and improve it.
During that four years, we had Department Symposium and Cultural Fest for which I was
responsible for coordinating the new event named “Novicetronix” which had about 120 students
from various colleges participating in it. My major project was in the field of Digital Image
Processing where we used Neural Networks to train the machine to digitally plot the electronic
waste from the other normal waste.

6.What are your strengths and give an instance where you used
them? 

Adaptability & Quick Learner and I am appreciated for being patient. I was trained in Informatica
domain in Accenture and, I topped my batch. Yet there was project constraint and I was put up in
the Salesforce Domain which was entirely a different perspective. Still I was able to perform to the
very much above level and was rewarded with “Test Centre of Excellence Award”.

Q7. What are your weaknesses, give examples of how you are
overcoming them? *

I take long time to take decision, Overthink as I weigh down all the positives, negatives and the
associated risk factor. When I was in dilemma to choose among Accenture, Infosys, CTS, Wipro.

Q8. Did you ever face failure, If so, How did you deal with it?
Yes, When I failed to join MBA program during the first attempt of CAT. I scored only 60% in my first
attempt and with my constant dedication, I managed to balance both my worklife , family financial
constraints and i scored good percentile and now I am here .

Q9. What are your short term goals?/Where do you see yourself 3-5
years down the line?
My short-term goal would be to get a good managerial role. Hence building myself to compete in the
corporate world should be my prime importance. To meet that requirements, I am planning to
compete in major business case competitions for which I believe it will give me think to give ideas to
deal the real-life situations. In 5 years down the line, I should be a perfect corporate leader in a big
firm believing I meet all my small objectives.

Q10. What are your hobbies & interests? (Describe atleast one for
each of them) *
Swimming, Badminton, Passive Trader, Watching Regional Comedy shows.

Q11. Which domain in MBA interests you and why? *

My interest is inclined towards numbers and operations, I am looking for managerial position in
Finance or Operations Domain. This interest also reflects in my Academic marks was well. Hence, I
did few certifications from Flip – Banking and Financial Fundamentals, NISM – Equity Derivatives VIII
& NCFM Equity Technical Analysis and, I have completed my Lean Six Sigma Training to know how
importance in optimising any kind of operations.

Q12. Are you a team player? (Describe an instance for the same) 
Yes, I am. There was a situation when profiles of few Salesforce Application were cyber attacked, and
we need to test all the application functionalities in 2days. I have been handling a 4-member team
and we need to test 6 Applications which approximately had 500 test cases. I assigned the task
individually and coordinated with the team constantly in completing the task
