Artificial intelligence, as the name suggests is artificially created intelligence trying to mimic the
natural intelligence displayed by humans and other living beings. This is done via machines by
writing computer programs which requires high computing power.

In the last few decades, with the advancement of processing power, AI has revolutionised the
way humans look at mundane and repetitive tasks. From very easy unskilled tasks to some very
skilled tasks like performing a surgery can be performed by using artificial intelligence.

With this advancement, more and more unskilled jobs are being performed by machines.
Although this had effectively improved the efficiency of the work, but at the same time stolen a
big chuck of unskilled jobs. This alarming issue of unemployment because of AI advancement is
the main reason for people opposing it.

As stated in the WEF report based on the future of jobs survey report, these technological
advances will disrupt 85 million jobs by 2025. The report also pointed out that 97 million jobs
would be created in the new labour market. The current workforce needs to be reskilled and
upskilled so that these new jobs can be utilized effectively.

Thus, effective steps need to be taken by the government and the industry to improve the skills
of the workers.

Information technology has introduced a new and effective way for networking, e-banking where
transactions are efficient and easier. With this advancement, unethical hackers have also
succeeded by breaking into online accounts and stealing sensitive data. This kind of unlawful
act is called cyber crime. Cyber stalking, cyber defamation, child pornography and cyber
bullying are some of the examples. The victim of cyber crime should contact the nearest cyber
cell or file a complaint directly on the national crime reporting portal. Some important information
like server logs, access control mechanism details, list of suspects and other relevant
information should be provided while filing an online complaint. One can avoid falling into the
cyber crime trap by following some online safety measures like not responding to emails asking
personal information, carefully reading the privacy policies and using a strong password.
