Glennita Williams ’19

Area of Study: Political Science
Hometown: South Holland, IL

Plans after graduation: Glennita will attend law school

and, ultimately, hopes to become a U.S. Senator sitting
on the Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

When Glennita’s mother faced medical issues and significant

medical bills in 2017, Glennita worried that she would
have to drop out of school. Thanks to the scholarships she
received from NIU Foundation donors, Glennita was able to
return to NIU and complete her degree. She is one of the
many students impacted by the generosity of Leadership
Society donors.
