Subject:  Summary of CV vs Resume Presentation Conference

INTRODUCTION:
On September 14th,2020 a video presentation conference done by Professor Pier LeCompte
was held on Google Meet platform. Students from all areas of expertise were present during this
conference including myself, what was said during this conference was precious information for
those who are looking for employment.

CV:
Most of us do not know how to properly do a Resume or a CV and do not know their
differences, in the conference Pier LeCompte helped us understand better the making and use of
these documents. This information was given by describing them both as a form of employment
solicitation depending on what you are soliciting; for example if you are soliciting an
employment to a university, or a science lab; you will use the CV, this is because the CV will
express your academic progress and grades that you got, as well as your skills in the field, this
will be for the area you will be placed if you will be a teacher, or a professor in the institute, or a
scientist or chemist in a laboratory. You can use a Portfolio too, in order to organize better the
information, you will be giving to them.

RESUME:
Now for the Resume this can be applied to any job that doesn’t involve any form of academics;
this is used regularly to solicitate a job at, for example, a McDonald’s, or any place you want to
solicitate. This information is very useful because it would help you in many ways either if you
are going to solicitate a job at a fast-food restaurant, or at, for example, a Walmart. This is
because a Resume is for basic employments, and do not require that much information about
how skillful you are, but simply enough information about yourself and your status.

Adjournment: 2pm of September 14th,2020
