RELATED LITERATURE (Foreign)

-Young people spend more time using and retrieving information using technology (Jackson 2012). "Internet, cell phones, instant

messaging and video games play a big part in children's daily lives and activities. But there is very little awareness about what a real

impact it can have on their personality.

-The technology we have today is truly transforming life. Technology is integral to every human life in the way that it facilitates it.

Complex and critical processes are facilitated by the technology and the applications that come with it. Technology also has many

effects in everyday life: 1) Easy access to information, 2) Young people's interest, 3) Technology can be remembered more easily, 4)

Information presentation is easier and the latter 5) Information gathering and the use of social media are becoming more interactive.

-Our modern technology has had to change the way our teachers teach in school. But with personal equipment, what effect does it

have on the personalities and behaviors of young people?

-Many people are debating whether the technology is really good or bad. Many believe that technology has a detrimental effect on our

society, but many also favor the development of technology as it has a positive effect on Filipinos' lives. These views are correct, but

it is important to study the impact of technology.

- Possible Positive Effects: 1) Development of recreation level, 2) Responding to events, 3) More work and speed, 4) Being closer to

others through communication and technology, 5) Less expensive in another way.

- The Negative Effects: 1) Causes people to be lazy, 2) Used in violence, 3) Destructive in nature, 4) Excessive knowledge can lead to

wrong situations and 5) The latest technology in fields of gaming and internet access can be detrimental to or affecting student

learning.
- According to Gergimar John Alinsangao, Ryan Nawal, Renan Sansait and Clark Lachica. Today, many gadgets can be found and

purchased. Various brands and models of cellphones, laptops and more are constantly catching people's interest especially young

people. It not only brings joy but makes the conversation much easier and personal tasks more organized. This simply means that the

Filipinos are up to date with modernization.

- It is undeniable that modern technology contributes much to the daily life of every person. But it should also be considered what

impact it may have when allocated to more important things or activities. Having good equipment or gadgets is the right thing to do.

Technology is not the only thing that runs through life. Paying attention to the more important things is a joyful and responsible way

of life and to the things that lighten up and speed up the work.

- Many of today's teens have low scores, according to uro.net. It is not because they do not understand what they are being taught in

class. This is probably because they have a lot of other concerns besides their studies. Modern gadgets are now the staple of many

students in our country.

- It is important to know the impact of modern technology and gadgets on the personality of young people, because many of them

today have low scores and varying degrees of work and behavior. One of the notable reasons is that they turn their attention and time

into playing or using modern equipment rather than homework or study.

=The development of learning today is fast thanks to modern technology and gadgets. Social media has helped in all levels including

institutions, interpersonal relationships and even the individual. It is constantly evolving around human control and knowledge and

evolving under its own momentum and blindly shaping society (D. Chandler, 2000)
= The continuous development of modern technology is beneficial for young people especially students. It has a great impact on

facilitating learning and becoming an effective citizen and student (M. Underwood, 2009).

= Is it possible for young people and students to live without computers, mobile phones (for texting), and other modern gadgets?

Today's youth and students have a new way of life using modern gadgets. The new generation of students today wants change, Just as

they change the way they learn

in today's world, they prefer easy and comfortable without any hassle. For them the most exciting change today is modern technology

and gadgets. (S. Kumar, S. Raghav, 2007)

= Technology has a positive and negative impact on society. He says communicating with technology is one of the innovative ways to

facilitate one-on-one communication. However, it also lowers a person's ability to cultivate his or her personal communication with

others (Chandler, 2000)

= Chandler (20000) and B. Winston (1998) recently discussed in his article How are Media Born and Developed the good and bad that

modern technology and social media brings. He believes in the determination of technology towards the development of our world.

Today we are in the 21st century much has changed the way we live as well as our private lives.

= The internet continues to grow and reach more people. We see improvement in literacy due to the growth of the internet (K. Croxton

2000)

= According to A. Graham Bell (1876) the Telephone teaches the deaf so that he is interested in the sounds or how the sound is

bouncing and traveling. Bell thought that these vibrations could be made into a series of electric motions that could be transmitted by

wiring from one place to another. From this he invented it. His invention not only made it possible to talk to friends miles away but

also opened the door for intercoms, radio, fax transmissions and even the Internet. It brings people closer together (A. Graham Bell

= Today's computers do many things. In homes, small computers mounted on electric appliances can turn on and off television and

switch stations, or control the temperature of your refrigerator. Computers in cars and other vehicles regulate oil flow. Computers are

also used on hospital machines such as x-rays. Did you know that computers are primarily for use in complex mathematical

calculations? The machines used to make complex mathematical calculations originated thousands of years ago in Chinese abacus.

Abacus is a group of grains that are aligned and used in counting. In 1945, ENIAC the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Calculator

was born. It was the first computer. However, unlike most computers today, it requires a large room and has its own air-conditioner.

Now, thanks to new developments such as computer chips, a computer with the same capabilities can fit in the palm of your hand.

Today, computers are needed in all offices. In fact, computers are also used for learning and gaming.

= In S. Wilson's study, in his article The Influence of Technology on College Students he says that what people need in using

technology is discipline. Each generation has different disciplines based on their own community.

= According to Coomes and Debard (2004), history and culture play a major role in shaping one's beliefs and practices. Over time,

human behavior has become more diverse than ever before influence of gadgets.

= According to Coomes and Debard (2004), and Howe and Strauss (2003), they say that human discipline is a mixture of

environmental factors and social factors such as the influence of family, the Media, the religion, the friends, the family. education and

politics. Discipline is important for students especially in colleges on how to deal with their environment. Today, college students

have the latest technology such as cellphones, Ipod, Mp3 players, and online social networks such as facebook, twitter, instagram.

What they watch on television and computer games can change the way they think. They have a great influence on their academic

performance within the class. (Howe, Markiewicz and Strauss, 2008).

= According to Arend (2005), he says that one of the students believes that learning is just a waste of their time, so some of them

prefer to use gadgets and consume less. time on trivial things.

= According to a study by Sadler (2007) we often hear from students today saying how much they have spent on making lessons and

how early they are to get up to enter. They say this to make others proud of what they have done. Today's students can combine

texting and learning, which is very different from today's students. They no longer have the discipline to use their time and how to

make it worthwhile.

= Gemmill and Peterson (2006), they ask students how much time they spend using modern technology and how much it is causing

them stress. Based on their studies, almost 29% of their time is spent on technology and it also contributes significantly to the stress

students experience.

= Lloyd, Dean and Copper (2007) conducted a media component study on student learning. They have found that it has a great

influence on the way students treat their friends, classmates, and teachers.

= Over time we have experienced what is called globalization, and our technology is constantly rising and evolving. And with the

rapid advancement of technology, it is said that we are keeping pace with the development and technological advancement of

developing countries.

= Nowadays we are called computer age because all fields are almost computer used. Government agencies, private offices, schools

and even households use computers in their transactions. Without a personal computer there are modern cellphones that serve as a

means of various types of transactions. The data even suggests that the Philippines is the cellphone capital of the world, because the

ultimate poor Filipino family is already using mobile phones.

= Is rapid development in the field of technology helpful or not, especially in the field of education in our country? All kinds of
technological advancements have a positive and negative impact on our lives, even in the field of education. In the field of education,

the rapid development of technology has contributed immensely to not only teachers but especially students.

= Before implementing the policy or the government, the development of technology is being researched and studied first and

foremost whether it is helpful or not. They eliminate the positive and negative consequences of it and if they are positive they will

approve and enforce it in accordance with our country's existing law, specifically education.
