Creativity is within every Learner

As a future art teacher I should encourage the students to do creative outputs. I learned that we
as a teacher should decline from bad practices inside the classroom. I should appreciate the abilities of
my students and understand that everyone is unique. Children has their own capacities and as a teacher
I should be able to motivate my students. What makes it difficult for the children to foster their
creativity is because of the factors that stops them from doing it.

Here are some lists of practices which cause the students creativity to perish:

1. Letting the students borrow others ideas and let them copy the image instead of imagining their
own.
2. Not giving feedbacks in the students’ output. The tendency is the student will not know if
his/her artwork implies creativity. They won’t be inspired to do another artwork.
3. Letting the students copy or imitate what the teacher is showing in front.
4. Criticizing artworks especially, if the student’s artwork is far from realistic. And praising those
artworks that are almost the same to the figure.
5. Praising the artworks of the students that are neat and clean and ignoring those that are messy.
