A great deal of research went into writing the causal proposal essay. In the beginning, it
was a bit difficult trying to find the correct information that fit into what I was writing about. I
actually enjoyed learning about my topic, it was all quite interesting. With this essay, I certainly
had to pay more attention to make sure that I was following the instructions, checking the
parenthetical citations, and I had to make sure that my word count was higher than the rhetorical
analysis essay. Since this was a different type of essay that I was starting, it was confusing.
Despite the confusion I did my best following the directions, checking that the parenthetical
citations were correct, and I made sure that the essay met the necessary word count. However, I
could not do it all on my own because I kept getting stuck in certain sections of the essay. I
decided to meet up with a tutor to help me out. The tutor made me aware of all the small and big
mistakes I had on my essay. My support group members helped me a lot with this essay too; they
were able to give me feedback and told me how and where I could make changes. I also made
sure to read the feedback from my professor and I tried my best to understand their explanations
and follow any directions given to me directly. Comparing my preliminary drafts and full rough
draft to the final draft, there definitely is a noticeable change. Writing this paper helped a great
deal when I started working on the redux project, which was connected to the causal proposal
essay. I am confident that everything I have learned from writing this paper will continue helping
