1. Chemistry - is the scientific discipline involved with elements and compounds composed of atoms,
molecules, and ions.

2. Forensics - it connotes a relationship to the administration of justice. It is sometimes used


interchangeably with the word legal.

3. Forensic Chemistry - is the application of chemistry and its subfield, forensic toxicology in a legal
setting.

4. Toxicology - the detection and identification of poison.

5. Forensic Chemist - a forensic chemist is tasked to examine the chemical nature and composition of
the explosives, blood, and body fluids.
