Subject: Damaged Turnover Coates Claim

Hello Dan,

My name is Larissa Fuller, the purchasing manager for the Cincinnati Fire Department. I am contacting
you to file a claim for 14 damaged turnover coats to be replaced. Four months ago, I had purchased 20
turnout coats, SKU#43210, from ACME Corporation. Unfortunately, within 3 months of use, 11 of our
coats show a significant amount of wear and tear and 3 of the coats are beginning to show the same
type of wear and tear.
With my purchase, these turnout coats are under warranty with a 24-month guarantee for wear and
tear. As you can see in the attached photos, 11 of the coats show the most significant damage in which
the stitching is unraveling where the arm joins the body panel of the coat. The last three photos show
the same type of damage in its early stages. The photos provide the evidence needed to support my
claim to have the 14 turnout coats replaced. Furthermore, what would ACME like to have done with the
damaged coats that I am claiming?
My previous experience purchasing from AMCE has always been pleasant and exceeded my
expectations in quality products and services. Therefore, I trust that you will be more than helpful in
handling this claim in a satisfactory and timely manner. I cannot stress enough how important it is for
the Cincinnati Fire Department to have these replacement coats as soon as possible so they are safe and
protected. Please reach out to me if you have questions or need additional information.

 Thank you,
Larissa Fuller

Teacher Comments: It's a small thing, but the date is missing from the top and "Turnover"
should be "Turnout" in the subject line and thereafter. No need for a self-intro; in the scenario,
you have been doing business with ACME for years. The first paragraph is slightly indirect with
the self intro, and instead of "file a claim" maybe "need replacements for". Good case made in
paragraph two -- so good, you didn't really need to say it with "These photos provide..." At the
very end, you are very understanding, but should state when you expect to receive the
replacement gear.
