Teachers Desk Materials for the

day/ homework
turn in table

I chose to set up a simple classroom because I want to teach seniors in high school, and they tend to not need
as many amenities and younger children. I chose to put them in groups of four side to side. I made sure each
desk faced the instruction area so that I can be sure each student is listening and can also observe reactions. I
chose to not cluster them together because that tends to lead to side conversation and lack of engagement. I
put a table right by the door that the students cant miss, on this table is all of the materials they will need for
the day as well as any homework I may have assigned that is due that day. This idea also assists in holding
students accountable and forming positive habits. It will also allow as much instruction time as possible since I
do not have to pass out the materials or collect homework during my lesson.
