Dear Madames, dear Sirs,

According to Reg. (EEC) 1111/2009, Greece is going to withdraw 64.397 tones of cereals from the
Hungarian Intervention stocks, which, according to the proposal of Hungary, will be only barley.
In Greece, the Greek Paying Agency (OPEKEPE) will coordinate the whole transaction, particularly the
Intervention Department of the Directorate of Payments of Agricultural Aid Schemes of OPEKEPE, in
cooperation with the Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
Because our competition of bids would be more seductive if not only barley but also quantities from
the products wheat and maize would be offered, we had a communication with the Hungarian Paying
Agency in order to modify the allocation. Hungary answered that this change could only take place
between the member states, if there is any interest.
We contact you (first informally, by e-mail), in order to consider the possibility of changing the
proposed allocation and particularly, we are interested to replace partially the allocated to Greece
barley with wheat and maize, which are allocated to you.

We would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation and we await for your reply,
remaining at your disposal for any further information.

Yours sincerely

Olga Moraitou
