EU Support for Deforestation of Vineyards
Consists in EU grants support which may vary
according to the average output of the latest three
crop years, from 1595 euro/ha to 13530 euro/ha.
What to do
1.Submission of the application to the PIAA
county office;
2.Verification of documents and selection of eligible files;
3.Transmission of the data to the European Commission;
4.Approval of applications until 01.02.2010;
5.Deforestation of vineyards.

Restructuring and Conversion of Vineyards
The amounts paid per hectare may vary from
1550 to 14325 euro, according to each program.
What to do
1.Submission of the individual plan regarding the
restructuring / conversion of vineyards for 2009 / 2010
campaign, to the PIAA county office;
2.Submission of the application file;
3.Correction / completion of file, if needed.
Advance payments
Advance payments are granted only if a guarantee of
120% of the due amount is lodged and if the procedures
under the respective measures are in progress.

 Financial Support for Determined Use of
Concentrated Grape Must and Rectified
Concentrated Grape Must Produced in the EU
Beneficiaries of the support
Natural / legal persons who use concentrated grape must
or rectified concentrated grape must originating in the EU
and obtained only from grapes of Vitis vinifera species, in
order to increase the natural alcoholic strength of the fresh
grapes, grape must, partially fermented grape must, still
fermenting new wine, only by adding concentrated grape
must or rectified concentrated grape must.

Amount of the support
The amount of the support is fixed per % volume potential
alcoholic strength and per hl of must used for enrichment
What to do
1.Obtaining the info and the forms from PIAA county office;
2.Submitting the prior declaration of alcoholic strength increase;
3.Submitting the notification on the alcoholic strength increase;
4.Submitting the declaration of final natural alcoholic strength
increase;
5.Submitting the application to the PIAA county office.
Financial Support for Harvest Insurance
Up to 80% of the value of the insurance policy
Conditions of eligibility:
- the applicant must submit an insurance policy for the wine
grape crop in that crop year;
- the vine area must be registered in the Vineyard Registry;
- the vine area must be registered in the Farms Registry;
- the level of compensations received (for natural disasters)
must not exceed the amount covered by the insurance.
Insurance
The level of financial support
1. 80% of the cost of the insurance premium for insurance
against losses resulted from adverse climatic events that can
be assimilated to natural disasters.
2. 50% of the cost of the insurance premium for insurance
against:
I. Losses previously mentioned and against other losses
caused by weather conditions;
II. Losses caused by animals, plant diseases or pest infestations.
What to do
1. Submission of the financial support application and related
documents, at the PIAA county office;
2. Administrative control of the application file and
3. On-the-spot control of the vineyards;
4. Validation of the application file at the PIAA Head Office;
5 Authorization and then execution of payment.
