All Internal & Peripheral Roads shall be flexible Pavement (Bitumen/ Tar type) designed as per IRC:37-
2018.

CBR Value = 5%

Initial Traffic = 500 CVPD (Commercial Vehicles per day)

Design Life = 15 years

Geometric Design Parameters

• Design Speed of 40 km/hr has been considered for geometric design of road.

• The proposed roads will be a two-lane carriageway with foot paths on at least one sides of the
carriageway.

• Foot Path of 1.5 m wide shall be provided on any one side of road.

• The crossfall on straight sections of road carriageway, paved shoulders and paved portion of
median shall be 2.5 percent for bituminous surface and 2.0 percent for cement.

• On new roads, the curves should be designed to have largest practical radius, but in no case less
than ruling value corresponding to ruling design speed concrete surface.

Sharp curves should not be introduced at the end of long tangent since these can be extremely
hazardous
