The age gender pyramid is a graphical illustration that shows the distribution of various age groups in

a population. In the conducted survey it showed that in the premise of Benguet State University
students and their family it showed that the age group of the working or the economically active (15-49
y/o) is the highest among the age groups followed by the young dependents (0-14 y/o) and last is the
elderly dependents (50 y/o and above). In comparison it showed that life expectancy of males are
higher than females because there are more people in the age group of 50 in males than females. It also
showed us that the younger generation has a higher number than that of the elderly groups meaning we
can compensate with the death of the elderly which proves that we are not yet in the verge of
extinction. If these trend in population continues we can safely say that human beings will strive since
there are more independent age groups than dependent ones, meaning we can support those
dependent generations since they are fewer in number. Also, it showed us that life and death ratios are
almost equal so we are far from extinction.
