INTERACTION

I have chosen to lay out my pages like so, as it is easy to follow and not to
complicated. Obviously when text, pictures etc are laid out it will look more eventful.

Colour, fonts and language etc

I want the background of my website to be white, as this will give me the flexibility to use a
selection of colours and pictures without the page looking too extravagant. It’s crucial that I
keep my readers interested, therefore it’s important that I change the colour of text every
so often to highlight key points. For instance; title, sub-title, description etc.

I have decided to keep the majority of text black, as this will contrast perfectly with the
background which will allow it to stand out. Although, I want to add hints of colour here and
there, perhaps purple and blues. This change of colour will highlight the important sectors
of text, in case readers want to skim through.

I would like to keep my fonts a fairly normal style and size, especially when it comes to bulks
of text. I think this is important because my target audience have to read the information, so
they have to find it accessible and easy to read. I want my titles and sub-titles to be more
adventurous, as I want the font to be slightly different and larger. This is because these are
smaller sections of text and don’t have to be read as thoroughly.

My target audience are aged 16 to 22 years old, because of this I don’t think my language
should be formal or unformal. Instead I plan on using the combination of the two as I want
the text to be written as if I was having a conversation with the readers. I want to ensure the
text is easy to read, therefore it’s essential I use words which are understandable to a range
of people as I want to target a broad range of 16 to 22 year olds.

When writing my text, I want each sentence to have a paragraph. This layout makes the
writing less frightening to the reader due to it being less bulky and harsh to read. When
analysing other websites, the layout was very similar, which made the page approachable
and is something which I want to follow.
