KU SOM Symbol No. MBA-2166

Applicants Name : Jenish Shahi

Ans. 1

Executive Summary:
Mr. Pramod, who has completed his MBA five years ago, had decided to establish a venture by himself
rather than working 9 to 5 in a company. He decides to run a bakery business initially opening an outlet
in the road and then go for a mass production. With this view, he allocates all the resources accordingly.
He takes loan from bank of 2,000,000 with an interest rate of 10%. He earns the sales revenue of
1,080,000 after deducting the costs of goods sold, administrative and selling costs, 20% tax and 10%
interest rate.

Analysis:
1. This is a good startup for Mr. Pramod as the sales revenue has reached a few millions within a
first year.
2. The financial statements, somehow, doesnot show all the developing and comparative data, and
its distortion
3. The statements is still lacking the proper figures of Return On Investment (ROI), window
dressing, effects on inflation etc.
4. The analysis shall be done based on company’s performance with that of other firms in the same
industry as well as evaluating trends in a firm’s position over time to uplift the standard of the
organization.

Therefore, the decision of Mr. Pramod is appreciable to build oneself as an entrepreneur rather thn
working a job of 9 to 5 and the proper planning and strategies will definitely lead towards great
productivity.

The strength and growth comes only through continuous effort and struggle. Since, he has made up his
mind not to work under others control and to establish his own venture and also allocated all the
resources accordingly, now all that Mr. Pramod needs to do is focus on the proper strategy of building a
better standard of the company by

- pointing out strengths and weaknesses of the firm, and the areas that need improvement,

-analyse the financial statements and identify the problems before they become a crisis.

-focusing on simple planning issues ( such that the company's materials and machineries are aging and
that funds need to be set aside to replace them)
-slowly heading towards mass production and distribution of the quality products (especially new
products that are not available in the market) in a reasonable price.

The proper advertisement and promotional marketing must be done in order to lead the company for
better sales and profound goodwill. Hence, the continuous and the correct strategical plans and actions
will definitely bring positive results and may even lead to globalization.

During this pandemic period, where most of the businesses are going through recession and having hard
times, it is very important for Mr. Pramod to atleast sale low volumes of product but effectively. Right
now, only medical fields, clothing and food industry are in safe zone so the bakery company of Mr.
Pramod seems to be in a safe zone. The people have undergone living a luxurious life now so the basic
needs are only fulfilled. Therefore my personal suggestions to Mr. Pramod will be:

–He must focus on manufacture of new products that are not available in the market in a reasonable
price and with a service of home delivery.

-Go for a proper digital marketing and keep advertising the products and company highly.

-Make digital way of purchase and payment for the customers and ensure customer satisfaction

-Merge with other companies for better productivity and sales.
