Highroad Academy
Dear Parents,

September 1, 2009
Welcome to another year at Highroad Academy! I am pleased to take this op-
portunity to introduce myself and to welcome your child to my class. A good learning
experience is built on a cooperative effort among parents, child and teacher. I look for-
ward to the work and growth we will all accomplish this year.

This will be the only paper newsletter you will be receiving this year. All
class announcements and information will be placed on our class blog. Our class blog is
http://mrhclassblog.edublogs.org/. Spelling lists, dates, updates on class happenings
and what we are doing will all be displayed here with lots of cool links, pictures, videos
and other class related materials. If you are having difficulties using the class blog,
please let me know so I can help you use this valuable resource.
Again, welcome! Please feel free to contact me about any questions or concerns
you may have. My classroom door is always open, and messages can be left for me with
our school secretary, to which I will respond as soon as possible. Please take a moment
to fill in the question sheet and send it back with your child. This will allow me to get to
know your child better.

Thank You!
Mr. Hancock
