TREE PLANTING
“Green hand, Green Land”

Description of the project:

The CWTS-BSCE1-3 is a group of students aim to plant trees in mountains and hills of
urbanized communities as requirement for the National Service Training Program. The project
with the theme “Green Hand, Green Land” is designed to improve the natural environment of
the chosen community.

Tree Species and sizes:

Over 50 different fruit-bearing trees such as mango, guyabano, guava, and etc. and
mahogany trees with the 2-2.5 feet or 2.5-3 feet height will be planted. The group choose fruit-
bearing trees to prevent it being burned or destroyed because when it grow, it would be helpful
for citizen of the chosen community, not just for shade but also source of food.

Tree planting locations:

There’s no exact location yet for the tree planting program.

Maintenance plan:

Trees will be signed for and adopted by the chosen community residents. They will commit for
weeding, water, mulching and protecting the trees for minimum of two years. Residents should
be responsible for their mountains and hills because it is also for the betterment of their
community, they should be responsible for the maintenance of the trees being planted.

ART WORKSHOP
“There is no mistake, just fun of developing art.”

Description:

This workshop features lessons on drawing and painting to stir the creative imagination of
the children. The art subject varied to include still-life, animals, figures, portrait, landscape,
places and so forth.

Objectives:

 Children look at portraits and paintings of different artist.


 Explore art fun with different mediums, techniques and themes.
 Encouraging the creativity and self-expression of the children.

Locations:
There’s no yet specific Daycare center and kindergarten are chosen.

Participants:

The participants of the program is the pupil of day care center and kindergarten with the age
of 3-6 years old.

Methodology:

 At first, we will have a small talk of what they are interested in, small talk on how to
draw or make paintings and how will they put feelings into their artworks.
 Second, we are going to present various artworks of different artist to children so they
have an idea of what they are going to do.
 Third, we will provide all the drawing materials they need.
 Lastly, we facilitate their art journey.

At the end of our program, we will encourage them that THERE IS NO MISTAKES IN
ART.

FEEDING PROGRAM

Description:

To help student such as children to know the proper nutritional habits that increase or
improve their health to over come different recent health problems such as malnutrition among
kids. This program will make not only children but also their parents and guardians more aware
about such diseases and how to avoid and prevent it.

Objectives:

 Improve the children’s nutrition


 Enhance the children’s performance in physical, mental and social activities
 Enlighten the kids to the proper food to eat at school

Locations:
There’s no yet specific Daycare center and kindergarten are chosen.

Participants:

The participants of the program is the pupil of day care center and kindergarten with the age
of 3-6 years old with their guardians.

Methodology:
After conducting the art workshop, its to boost their energy to improve their concentration
in the rest of the day. Food is being provided to those who are involved in the said event and
will be served by the students of CLSU as part of the said activity.

HYGIENE SEMINAR

Description:
This program will teach the kids and their guardians about the proper hygiene and clean
lifestyle. It will make them more are about the advantage of being well-groomed and proper
hygienic person especially on their life health and social aspect.

Objectives:

 To promote personal hygiene everyday


 To protect ourselves from any illness and diseases and to improve our self-practices to
personal health

Locations:

There’s no yet specific Daycare center and kindergarten are chosen.

Participants:

The participants of the program is the pupil of day care center and kindergarten with the age
of 3-6 years old with their guardians.

Methodology:

Teach the proper process of washing hands, brushing and flossing teeth, combing and caring
of hair in a creative and funny manner. The presenter will act or model every procedure that they
will discuss about to make the children enjoy the program.

OUTREACH TO STREET CHILDREN

Description:

The program will reach its hands for the less fortunate people such as the street-children. It
will give hope to them through experiencing the goodness of God and receiving some gifts such
as food and toys. By coordinating to the St, John the Evangeline Church, Guimba, Nueva Ecija
and earning some funds from sponsors and selling plastic bottles earned by the CLSU students,
the program will make the true smile shine on kids’ faces.
Objectives:

 To give happiness for street children


 To help them enjoy life even in short period of time
 To help environment by earning plastic bottles and selling it as source of funds

Locations:

The outreach program will be held at the town proper of Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

Participants:

The program will be participated by the St. John the Evangeline church and the street
children and less fortunate people of the central part of Guimba, Nueva Ecija.

Methodology:

 The students will be coordinating to St. John the Evangeline church for finding street
children and less fortunate people in need.
 The funds will come from the money earned form selling plastic bottles and from some
sponsors.
 After the preparation, the students will give some gifts for the participants and will
conduct some fun games for them.
