dimension and function of information system in a business environment.

Answer:
A management information system is an information system used for decision-making, and for
the coordination, control, analysis, and visualization of information in an organization.an also
information system is an organizational and management solutions, based on information and
communication technology to a challenge posed by environment Otherwise it plays vital role in a
business.

cross functional business process? Give examples of using diagram.

Answer:

 Simple Business Process


A business process or business technique is an assortment of related, organized exercises
or tasks by individuals or gear which in a particular succession produce a help or item
(serves a specific business objective/goals) for a specific client.

In human language, business process resembles a sequential construction system or


assembly line which takes all the contributions to different stages and makes a
completely functional finessed item.

There are five core business processes

 Management
 Approval
 Business process management
 Planning and Budgeting
 Reusability

 Cross Functional business

Cross functional business processes are different functional areas of an organization


working to complete the same piece of work, goal or aim. For example, the
order fulfillment process, product development, lead management.

The Sales Department generates & submits the order. Then it passes through the
Accounting Department to check the credit of the customer, who after approval generates
the invoice to the customer. After credit approval the Manufacturing & Production
Department know to assemble the product and ship to the customer.

This is a clear example of how a firm uses cross- functional business processes to
improve efficiency and work in synchronization to get the order out.
