FOR A NEW MILLENIUM
Compressed air is an important source of energy in modern industries, often representing
the most vital part in the whole production operation. In today's factory the consequences
of an inefficient or faulty compressed air system can be staggering, causing reduced
efficiency and increased maintenance costs. And as machinery becomes more
sophisticated, and users become more discerning, so the importance
of quality compressed air becomes ever greater.
The new Hiross Hyperfilter 2000 range, fruit of over 35 years
experience in compressed air treatment, meets and exceeds
these stringent needs. Hyperfilter 2000 represents
a new generation in compressed air filtration.
The full range of models and filtration levels; certified
and tested quality standards; the highest performance levels;
reduced operating costs. Together they ensure
that Hyperfilter 2000 more than fulfils the needs
of the new millennium's compressed air stations.
BENEFITS
• protects tools and downstream equipment
• increases efficiency, reduces downtimes
• significantly reduces costs
• full range of models and filtration grades
for all industrial applications
• guaranteed performance levels
Hyperfilter 2000 not only offers the highest
quality levels, it guarantees them. GUARANTEED
Hyperfilter 2000 has already been certified
according to the new PED pressure vessel
QUALITY
approval directive, some 2 years ahead of its
official implementation in 2002.
Hyperfilter 2000 has been designed, manufactu-
red and tested using ISO9001 certified
procedures, and carries the CE mark of quality
(where appropriate according to pressure vessel
directives).

BOROSILICATE MEDIA
The Borosilicate filter media used in Hyperfilter
2000 offers an extremely high void volume,
lengthening the element's life and cutting energy
costs to a minimum.
Anti re-entrainment barriers ensure there is no
oil carry-over.
The filter material fully complies with ISO 8573.1
filtration grading.
QUALITY ELEMENTS
All elements feature corrosion resistant end caps
and high strength inner and outer supports in
stainless steel. Hyperfilter 2000 elements are
fully compatible with both synthetic and
mineral oils. The element is fitted into
the housing using a tierod, ensuring easy
installation as well as a secure fit.
ELEMENT CHANGES
All Hyperfilter 2000 elements offer low pressure
drops and a long operating life.
In order to ensure long-term optimal filtration it
is however of absolute importance that elements
are regularly substituted by genuine Hiross
replacement elements.
The Hiross filter replacement sticker acts as an
aid in this procedure.

The following table acts as an aid in the correct selection of filter or series of filters according to the compressed air
application. Normally a lower filtration class will be installed as a pre-filter for higher grades in order to lengthen the
element lives and save energy. Your local Hiross partner will be able to assist in the correct filter selection according
to your personalised needs.
Separator ("HS") not required if air compressor includes adequate water separation.
THE HIDDEN EVIL WITHIN
COMPRESSED AIR
Ambient air contains dirt, oil, moisture and other impurities. When compressed, the air can
contain up to 1000 million particles per cubic metre. Some 80% of these particles
are smaller than 2 micron (a human hair has a diameter of 70 micron).
The Compressor itself will usually add lubricating oil, whilst the pipelines
add rust and scale. This hidden evil can have drastic consequences
in the factory, leading to escalating maintenance costs, lengthy
downtimes, costly tool wear and damaged finished products.
All this can be avoided using Hyperfilter 2000, a complete
range of high efficiency compressed air filters which ensure
that compressed air stations remain clean, downtime
is avoided and production efficiency is maximised.

REMOVE IT
Hyperfilter 2000 utilises a sophisticated multistage
process to guarantee that the compressed air is thoroughly filtered.
In grades D, Q, P and S particles above 1 micron are collected
by direct interception, whereby the particles collide with the filter fibre
and stick to it. Particles between 0,3 and 1 micron are picked up
by inertial impaction, where the particles touch the fibre and cling to it.
Small particles, below 0,3 micron, move across the streamline
by Brownian motion, whereupon they are picked up by the fibre.
Finally, all the collected particles cling to the fibre by coalescence, forming ever
larger droplets which are then forced to the bottom of the element and drained off.
Grade C elements feature an adsorption process, using 4 consecutive mechanisms:
diffusion of organic gas molecules, formation of bonds, successive formation
of molecular layers, and condensation of organic molecules.
