The report provides a detailed discussion about the teaching process as well as the important
role that the teacher plays in the teaching process. Undeniably, the teacher is the trim tab in the
learning process; she controls, dispense knowledge, direct learning, and the ultimate authority in the
learning environment.

The learning process, on the other hand, is the interaction between the teacher and the
learners, where actual learning takes place. This process is comprised on the Planning Phase where
learning needs are accessed by the teacher in relation with the learners, the Implementation Phase
where plans are put into action, based on a set of pre defined objectives. The evaluation phase is where
the teacher evaluates not only the learners, but the effectiveness of the teaching techniques as well.

Two major learning theories were also discussed in the report, namely the behavioural and he
cognitive learning theory. In the former, the theory suggests that learning has taken place when the
individual has shown a change in his behaviour. As for the latter, the theory is more concerned with
human learning in which unobservable mental processes are used to learn and remember new
information or acquired skill.
