We are looking forward to sharing our thoughts and ideas with your organization. Although
COVID has impacted everything in our lives, we are confident that we can create an event that
will meet your needs. It was mentioned that one of the main goals of 15-40 is awareness, and we
believe that by hosting a virtual talent show, this will provide a fun atmosphere while including
the educational content. We want to thank you for taking the time to read about our event idea.
Event Proposal
Unfortunately, cancer can impact people of any age. Our hope is to reach out to as many
demographics as possible. It is crucial to reach a younger audience so they can understand how
to detect cancer early & also teach others how to do so. Through our event, we believe that we
can reach this demographic. We have noticed that there are many fellow Bison that have
undiscovered musical talents. By hosting the virtual talent show, this would give them the
opportunity to display their talents while be informed about your organization and its messages.
We are hoping to take over the Nichols College Instagram page in order to reach as many
viewers as we can. In addition, we will be creating our own Instagram page to promote the event.
Our marketing plan includes creating a flyer as well as promoting it on the Nichols College
Radio. We will post it on our own social pages and request that our family and friends do the
same.
We would appreciate it if one of you could speak at our event. We are hoping to have 10 acts,
about 5 minutes each. We will have an intermission after the first half. After the acts have
finished, we would like the participants to vote for their top 3 favorite acts. Prizes will be placed
in the school mailboxes of recipients. All other prizes will be mailed to the recipients’ home
address. The first-place winner will receive a VISA gift card, the second-place winner will
receive a Dippin Donuts gift card, and the third-place winner will receive a Price Chopper gift
card.
Logistics
In order to make this event a success, to start off, we will be putting up flyers not only around
campus but also in local stores such as Dippin Donuts and Park n Shop. This way kids and
neighboring residents will know about the event and most importantly 15-40. To better promote
the event, we plan to take over the Nichols College Instagram and Facebook page. We will be
posting on both platforms weekly about the event, who will be performing and what 1540 stands
for.
We will we hold auditions and have contracts for the performers to sign if they are selected that
way, they know that this is something they can’t just back out of. This event will start at 8pm on
Instagram live and will run for about an hour. We'll give the first set of people 25 minutes, then
we would like to have someone from 15-40 come into the live to speak for 10 minutes, then the
We want to thank you for your consideration of our event idea, and we hope you like it as much
as we do. We hope that through this event, we can create awareness and educate as many people
as possible. We wish you the best of success during these turbulent times.
Sincerely,
The Dudley Divas | Lauren Duquette, Christine Collins, Nadiyah Davis, Rachel Moran
