Objective: To teach when Bilingual education first started, the history behind it
and the traction that it gained in recent years. Languages that are taught the most
in the country. Styles for teaching language and tools that are being used. Goal is
to show how language varies when learning and what is used to teach them.
Presentation will be given via power point.

Closure: Language is a lifelong tool that requires lifelong work. It can be taught in
different ways, with different effectiveness depending on who is learning. Either
way it takes months to years of work to continue to become capable of using it.

What is Bilingual Education:


• What started as teaching non-English-speaking students English became a
way to teach and introduce young minds to other languages that in the
future is now becoming a huge desire when looking for jobs.

• 1965 Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Essential Education
programs gain funding. Bilingual Education is included in being essential

• Exposure listening: Listening to the language via media sources to gain an
ear for how the language sounds
