Research Essay Assignment Sheet

You will be writing your very own research essay on a topic of your choice. You can

write it on any topic as long as you are able to argue a point within your essay.

Essay Requirements:

 4-6 pages in length

 At least 3 sources (at least 2 must be scholarly, but one can be a book)

 Double spaced

 1-inch margins

 Times New Roman 12-point font

 Page number in top right corner (LastName #)

 MLA 8 heading in top left corner

 Final draft will be due on Sunday, December 13th at 11:59 PM

 Video Documentary Project Assignment Sheet

Following the completion of the final drafts of your research essays, you will be tasked

with creating a mini-video documentary. This video documentary must be related to your

research essay topic. Your video documentaries should be 3-5 minutes long. You are welcome to

use household members in the creation of your video if necessary, but due to the ongoing

pandemic, you are not permitted to include those outside of your household.

You may film your mini-video documentary using a smart-phone, a camera, or your

school computers. Please note that it would likely be easier to use a smart-phone or a camera for

this particular project.
