Medical Marijuana Should Not Be Legal

Did you know marijuana cause you to have asthma, seizure, and cancer?

Cannabis or also known as marijuana is a green or gray mixture of dried

shredded flowers and leave of the hemp plant cannabis sativa. Research show

marijuana cause medical issue and cause people to get addicted to marijuana.

Marijuana cause medical problems. “​Smoking marijuana may also reduce

the respiratory system's immune response, increasing the likelihood of the user

acquiring respiratory infections, including pneumonia” ​(​www.drugabuse.gov

2016)​. ​Researcher has shown that infections could harm you to death such as

tobacco and it could cause you to have chronic coughs. “​Marijuana smoking is

associated with large airway inflammation, increased airway resistance, and

lung hyperinflation” ​(​www.drugabuse.gov​ 2016)​. ​Researcher shown that

smoking marijuana keeps you from breathing well . ​If you smoking marijuana,

these could happen to you.

People get addicted to marijuana if they think it is good. “​Marijuana use

becomes an addiction when the person cannot stop using the drug even though

it interferes with many aspects of his or her life” (​www.drugabuse.gov​ 2016).

Researchers shown that many could not stop smoking marijuana once they

started. ​Marijuana dependence occurs when the brain adapts to large amounts

of the drug by reducing production of and sensitivity to its own

endocannabinoid neurotransmitters”(​www.drugabuse.gov​ 2016). ​When the

endocannabinoid transmitter is blocked because of marijuana use people are

unable to control themselves. ​Marijuana could get you addicted if you keep

smoking it.

On the other hand researchers say that marijuana could cure some

disease such as cancer and AIDS. ​Cannabis or also known as marijuana is a
