It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Grace Lebrecht for a Recreation Therapy internship with Copper
Hills Youth Center.

I have had the opportunity to interact and work with Grace in both a personal and professional dynamic for
the past two years. She has continuously proven to be an honest, dependable and incredibly hard-working
person who has her clients/teams’ best interest at hand. Beyond that, she is able to find relatability with
those she is working with and utilize effective therapeutic use of self to help facilitate an optimal experience
and outcome for their progress and development. I have been able to see these skills demonstrated during
her instruction of riding lessons where she continuously strives to motivate her clients but also alter her own
interaction and teaching style to match the current need or level of function of the client. Her ability to relate
and match to the needs and comfort level of her riders, shows a high level of self-awareness, adaptability and
good assessment of client/environment interaction.

As an Occupational Therapist, I have had the opportunity to have Grace work as part of my treatment team
during therapy sessions utilizing a horse’s movement as a treatment tool – also referred to as Hippotherapy.
As a part of the team, she is professional, aware of the needs of the child, responds well to spoken direction
and able to facilitate the requests of the therapist with good understanding and performance. She has a
strong understanding and correlational response in regard to the application of therapeutic intervention and
how to match the activity demand to that of the client’s ability. She is a huge asset to the success and efficacy
of each session.

Along with Grace’s undeniable talents, she has always been an absolute joy to work with. She is a team
player and always manages to maintain a positive attitude and bring out the best of others and the group.

With no reservations, I recommend Grace to join your team at Copper Hills Youth Center as part of the
Recreation Therapy Program. I know that she will be a beneficial addition to your organization and a great
part of the treatment team.
