Dear Allysa:

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Ms. Grace Lebrecht who is a senior in the Recreational
Therapy Program, at the University of Utah. Grace is seeking an internship with Copper Hills Youth
Center and it is a privilege to support her application. She brings enthusiasm, professionalism,
commitment, and wisdom to the process of learning as she engages to understand not only the necessary
body of knowledge but also the practical application from an evidence and theory-based approach to
recreational therapy (RT).

Grace has a solid understanding of the recreational therapy scope of practice and has a broad experience
with individuals of all ages and diverse illnesses, injuries, and disorders. I have witnessed through
classroom instruction and simulation her understanding of the knowledge, clinical application, and
evaluation processes related to RT practice. Grace has good problem-solving skills, uses sound clinical
reasoning, and is creative and innovative. She is prompt, timely, responsible, proactive, and respectful.
She is a strong leader when needing to assume that role while also an excellent team member contributing
to the overall success of the team.

Personally, I find Grace an incredibly kind, humble, and committed individual. She is compassionate and
giving and demonstrates gratitude and appreciation for others contribution to her success.

I have no hesitation in recommending Ms. Lebrecht for an internship at Copper Hills Youth Center. The
more experience and mentoring she receives the stronger professional she will become. I believe Grace
will work extremely hard in her internship and represent the University of Utah Recreational Therapy
Program and Copper Hills with the highest professional integrity.

If you have, any further questions please feel free to contact me at, 801-581-8868.

Sincerely

Sandra K. Negley
