Praxis Core Exam Analysis

Exam Requirements

Passing this exam is important for me because I will be able to get into the educational program

at Nevada State College. Completing this will make me one step close to my dream of becoming

a teacher. Once I pass this test I will then begin studying deeper into secondary education in

social studies. In order to pass this test in Writing you will need a passing score of 162, Math you

will need a passing score of 250, and Reading a score of 156.

Exam Preparation

I prepped for this exam a during the week this assignment was due. I had 2 weeks to prepare for

it and I honestly forgot about this exam and class because I forgot I signed up for an 8-week

class. So, I tried to hurry up and finish this with only studying reading for 2 days and math 1 day.

I tried to get this assignment done before I went out of town because I believe that at least

turning something in is better than doing nothing at all. I have no excuses when I had all this

time to study and prep and you can tell my scores reflect on how much I studied. When I did

study, I used the Khan Academy and after doing a few practices they set me up for a plan for me

to pass the praxis exam.

Exam Results
 In Math I got a score 38% on the reading, which need significant improvement. In writing I

received a 55%, Which also needs significant improving. Lastly, in math I received a 61%, that

just need improving. All my scores mean I will fail this test if I do not fix and better my scores.

For me to improve on these I will need to study and need to follow my Khan Academy plan.

Future Exam Preparation

For me to improve on these I will need to study and need to follow my Khan Academy plan. I

plan on getting tutored by an old High School classmate that almost passed all the test with a

perfect score. I also will be purchasing any book that will help me pass this test successfully. By

fall of next year I will need to be at Nevada State, so I plan on taking this test next spring or even

possible the summer. I will also use anything that is free that will help me pass, that includes

website, tutoring, and even hand me down books.
