MEMORANDUM FOR CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF

SUBJECT: Zombie Apocalypse

This is a letter from James McConville. I am the Chief of the

Army Staff. Our world is in jeopardy and in need of your help.
The information that I am about to share with you is top secret
and must be kept with the upmost disclosure. There is an army of
zombies making their way through the Grand Canyon as I am writing
this. They are expected to cross White Sands Missile Range, one
of our major missile range bases, on December 5th, 2019. We must
stop them before they reach this location.

I need you to create a catapult that will launch a bomb into

the army of zombies to stop them. By launching this bomb onto the
zombies, you will save White Sands Missile Range and our country.
You have one week to create this catapult. Remember that your
catapult must be shot at a 45 degree angle in order to cover the
most distance possible. I know that there are many factors that
go into creating a successful catapult, but we in the Army have
full faith in your capabilities.

Once you have created a catapult that is able to complete

this job, you will need to present your product. Unfortunately, I
am not able to leave the base, but I have given my full trust in
your mayor, super-intendent and principal to choose the best
fitted catapult for this task. You will present in groups of
three and will have five minutes to demonstrate your catapult
launching an object. Thank you again for your help and again,
