INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Executive Engineer PWD Highways Division Bagh on behalf of the Employer invites sealed bids in
accordance within AJK PPRA Rules 36(a) Single Stage-One Envelope bidding procedure from the eligible
firms/contractors/persons licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in appropriate category mentioned against each
work in columns 5 below with Specialization Code CE-01 for the following works. A foreign bidder is entitled to
participate in the bidding only if having a joint venture with any Pakistani Construction Firm in accordance with the
relevant provisions of PEC bye-laws. Bidders desirous to bid as Joint Venture must get prior approval of the Employer for
bidding as joint venture.

Bidding is open to all eligible Bidders

i. Eligible Bidders may obtain further information, inspect and acquire the Bidding Documents from the Office of Executive
Engineer PWD Highways Division Bagh Ph. No. 05823-920071.
ii. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by an interested bidder on submission of the following.
a) The cost of bidding documents shall be charged Rs. 6000/- as tender fee plus prevailing Taxes.
b) Original Power of Attorney along with original Authority Letter on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- with each page attested by
the Oath Commissioner.
c) Original PEC License must be presented at the time of purchase of bidding documents.
iii. The bid securities of unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of contract to the successful bidder or on the expiry of
validity of Bid Security whichever is earlier.

iv. Bidding will be done on “AJKCSR 1 Quarter (Jul. to Sep. 2020-21) FY 2020-21, District Bagh, on percentage (above/below)
basis. Contractor has to Quote the rates of Bid price in words and in digits and only two digits after decimal will be considered.
v. Bids will be opened by the bid opening & evaluation committee in the presence of Bidders or their representatives who choose
to attend the following address (Original PEC License and Authority Letter must be presented at the time of Bid
Opening). Bids received through Postal Services will not be entertained.Conditional, incomplete and bids filled with led pencil
will not be acceptable.
