Madison Malo Malo 1

Professor Tubbs

Composition 1

25th August 2020

A letter to my teacher
My name is Madison Malo and I’m from Columbus, Ohio. I’ve moved around quite a bit

but Columbus is where I grew up. My family is big into sports and that ties into why I’ve lived in

4 different states. My dad is in marketing, which has been a very cool experience because he has

been involved with many different sport teams. As far as my mom, and my older sister Kenzie,

my mom works at a preschool and my sister is a junior at Ole Miss University. I work at a

restaurant called Eggspectation, where I serve as a hostess part time. Believe it or not, it is my

first job in the restaurant industry and so far it has been a great learning experience. Outside of

my job and schoolwork, I’m very into health and fitness. I enjoy working out and maintaining a

good diet in order to keep my body in shape. Fashion and modeling is another thing I’m

passionate about and hope to one day have a future in that field. Expressing myself through

outfits and creating my own style, is a big part of what makes me unique and creates an

opportunity for others to be inspired.

In my years through writing, I’ve learned to take advantage of the tools and techniques

that will guide you in the right direction for success. I find it easier to write about your inner

thoughts and interests, allowing yourself to come up with your own ideas and personal beliefs.

However, I struggle with writing about a topic I don't have much knowledge about, causing me

to feel frustrated and stressed. I am always determined to get my work done, although I tend to

face challenges that can lead me to working at a slower pace.

I hope throughout this semester and by the end of this class I learn how to feel more

confident and composed with my work. I want to feel comfortable with asking questions about

any concerns or difficulties that I may encounter. Finally, using any kind of sources that will help

me in the long run and be beneficial to my learning environment.
